Smith County Jail Mail and Bond
Incoming written correspondence must comply with jail safety protocols. Non-legal mail may be opened, scanned for contraband, recorded, and monitored before delivery. Surety bond uses a professional bondsman, usually with a nonrefundable percentage fee. Own recognizance release depends on the court and may include a 10% cash deposit ORCD directly to the court.
